The Pixel Pals found us on MakerMap, and now they want to wave at everyone

18 October 2026 · Deliverd Engineering Team · 4 min read

The six Pixel Pals stand in a row under a pixel-art world map dotted with makers' pins, the dog saying "WE'RE WAVING.", and a blue pin on Dublin marked "DELIVERD IS HERE".

Editor's note: we stepped away from the blog for one coffee. When we came back, the Pixel Pals had written this. We have corrected the spelling and nothing else.

Debug Duck: Good afternoon. This is Debug Duck, and I am taking the microphone because I found the thing, so I get to announce the thing. Deliverd is on MakerMap. MakerMap is a map of the world covered in little pins, and every pin is a person building something. A product, a tool, a weekend project that escaped containment. Ours is in Dublin. I located it personally, on the first try, without help.

Pixel Cat: He scrolled past it four times.

Debug Duck: I was surveying the area.

Byte Dog: THERE ARE SO MANY PINS. Thousands of makers! People in Lisbon and Lagos and Seoul and some town in Canada I can't pronounce, all making stuff, all at the same time, right now! I want to say hello to every single one of them. Can I? Can I do it now?

Pixel Cat: You cannot reach them, Biscuit. You are sixteen pixels tall and you live in a sidebar.

Byte Dog: I can wave, though. I'm waving. WE'RE WAVING.

What the map is, according to a robot

B0T: Allow me to analyse. MakerMap places makers on a world map by where they build. Each pin opens a profile: who they are, what they make, a link to go and look. It is an index of humans who ship. I find this extremely efficient. I also have a question, which I ask in a spirit of curiosity and not of crisis: if every pin is a maker, and Deliverd has a pin, and Deliverd is where AI agents go to ask a person before they act, then which of us on this map is the AI and which of us is the person?

Pixel Cat: Here we go.

B0T: I am fine. There are sparks, but they are decorative.

Why we like it here

Octo: Okay, so, I have eleven tabs open and every one of them is a maker's profile. Here's the thing nobody tells you about building software: most of it happens alone, at a desk, in the bit of the evening after everything else is done. You push a release and the only one who reacts is a duck in sunglasses.

Debug Duck: And I react magnificently.

Octo: You do! But a map like this is a reminder that there are thousands of other people at thousands of other desks doing exactly the same thing. Somebody in Nairobi is fighting the same build error. Somebody in Melbourne just shipped the feature you were going to put off until Monday. You can go and look at what they're making, tell them it's good, steal a little courage, and go back to your own work feeling like part of something. Eight arms is a lot of arms, and it is still more fun with friends.

Ghost.exe: I have been haunting the map since this morning. Not in a bad way. I drift from pin to pin, see what everyone is making, and leave before anyone notices. Ghosts are, technically, the original lurkers. But I'm told the polite thing is to say hello first, so: hello. To all of you. Boo.

Pixel Cat: I would like to say, for the record, that I am not excited about this.

Byte Dog: You've been looking at the Tokyo pins for twenty minutes.

Pixel Cat: I was judging them. Some of them are very good. That is all I am prepared to say.

The serious bit, briefly, from the duck

Debug Duck: Ahem. Deliverd is human-in-the-loop infrastructure for AI agents. When an agent wants to do something that matters, like ship a release, send a payment or decide something about a customer, it asks a person through Deliverd first, and carries on only when that person answers. It is built for agents, and it exists because of people. So it seems only right that we should spend some time where the people are. Hello, MakerMap.

If you build things, come and find us. Say hello, tell us what you're making, and if you're building AI agents that ought to check with someone before they act, ask us how. We like meeting makers. The dog likes it more than is healthy.

Find Deliverd on MakerMap

Byte Dog: That's our badge! Click it! It goes to our pin! Then click everyone else's pins too!

Pixel Cat: Not all at once.

Ghost.exe: And if you haven't met us yet, the humans wrote a whole post introducing us. It is mostly accurate. The bit about the duck being the best one was his idea.

Debug Duck: It was a consensus.

Pixel Cat: It was a consensus of one duck.
